::Excellent stay. The owner is so nice and welcoming, I was late to check in due to my flight but he waited until 11pm for me (after I contacted him) The rooms are clean and full equipped.. shared bathroom is also very clean (extremely important to me) and they also provide toothpaste, shampoo, body wash and a hair dryer. (Also umbrellas to borrow) Kitchen space is small but enough and the fridge is also very clean! The mattress is hard which I really like. The guesthouse is next to GS25 and 7-Eleven and it is also a book cafe! And the bus stop is 2 min walk away and they come very often ! (Some go straight to the airport too) I recommend staying if you are planning to hike Hallasan, the taxi is less than 10k if you plan to hike in the early morning like I did.

::A fantastic stay on Jeju Island at Ganderak Guesthouse! Vincent and his wife were super kind and welcoming and were always around to help. They run a cosy, dreamy book cafe on site and it is one of the nicest spots for a drink or a coffee, a hidden gem on Jeju! The accommodation itself was comfy and felt very homely. All the rooms were clean and the facilities were in good condition. The shared bathroom had a great shower with hot water and good water pressure. Fridge space available in the cute kitchen area to keep any food or drinks. Breakfast in the cafe was delicious with fresh fruit, toast and homemade jam and egg and bacon and juice or coffee. Location is also perfect for exploring the island as we visited Seogwipo and hiked Mount Hallasan and was able to get buses to and from the Gwaneumsa and Seongpanak trails. Bus stop is close by and there are two convenience stores right next door to the guesthouse. Even better, we arrived at night and it wasn’t until morning that we realized that we were on a street lined with beautiful cherry blossoms! Very lucky to have arrived in time for the blossoming season. I felt very taken care of at Ganderak Guesthouse and enjoyed everything about this place. I miss it already and wish I could have stayed longer!

::Hostel is super clean and the hosts are great. The hostel is super clean and organized, the bed even have an heated mattress which is great after walking around all day. It’s very close to the the bus stop so fine location is quite convenient. Nice coffee library on site.

::The owner was hospitable, friendly and kind in the beginning, but during our last few days his mood and behavior towards us changed as soon as two Korean women visited the B&B. One night, he conversed with them till 1 a.m. in the morning, laughing loudly and the next morning told us that "they were talking about the problems with the WiFi" (there were problems with the WiFi, but why would there be laughter?). Furthermore, he also accused us of messing the WiFi up and later apologized for it when I confronted him about it. His reply was that he had messaged all of the guests and told them the same thing. I checked with two other guests and this was not true. The above is our experience. Whether you decide to stay here or not is up to you :)

::Great hospitality. Small B&B but great environment. Total of 3 levels in this building. The ground floor is a book store & library, the second floor is the owner's house and the third floor is the hostel rooms. Only 5 rooms accommodate a small amount of people which I always prefer as the place won't be too crowded with travellers. Staying in a 4 bed female room for 2 nights. Rooym was spacious and clean. There's a bed heater as well. Small common area and a kitchen but it's enough to use. Small towel provided as well as shampoos, shower gel & hair dryer. There are 2 convenience stores just right on both sides of the building. Very convenient if you want to get a quick bite. A nice cafe next door and a few restaurants nearby within walking distance. Near bus stations too. Owner was very friendly and helpful. Recommended this hostel
