The spicy sujebi slaps hard with the briney umami of the oysters it's brewed with. Haemul pajeon is thin and crispy. Dining quarters are cramped though. We came early for dinner and faced a queue when we left.

โœจ Lunch at Insadong Sujebi/ Insadong Hangari Handpulled Dough Soup since 1993! ๐Ÿฒ I went for the General Sujebi and Seafood Pancake, and it did not disappoint! The sujebi soup was so refreshing, with oysters giving it an extra layer of flavour. ๐Ÿฆช The seafood pancake was just the right amount of crispy, packed with shrimp ๐Ÿฆ and squid ๐Ÿฆ‘โ€”a perfect bite every time. Also, the kimchi was so fresh, it really added a nice balance to the meal. Highly recommend this spot if you're ever in Seoul! ๐Ÿ™๏ธ #InsaDongSujebi #KoreanFoodLover #SujebiAndPancake #SeoulEats #FoodieFinds #Since1993

Everything is nice! Thatโ€™s our comment and compliment for this shop that we found by accident. Perilla leave sujebi , spicy sujebi and the seafood pancake is must order!

In Singapore/Malaysia, we know this affectionately as MEE HOON KUAY. Basically dough that is torn apart by hand and cooked which resulted in the odd shape of noodle/flour. I am so happy to have found this place as we were missing home. This place looks like it has been publicized a lot as u can see various signatures on the wall and there are even logos of broadcasting by stations which had interviewed them before. We ordered for 2 and it came in a large serving bowl which can then be distributed. Their kimchi was cold and came in a personal pot which feels very sanitary. The pancake was thin and crispy. I came around 6pm and by 7pm the whole place was filled out. It was so delicious and it was interesting to find out that Sujebi in Korea is the sister of mee hoon kuay of SEA.

BLUF: A, just a great experience. An old saying goes, โ€œNever judge a book by its cover.โ€ The same is true with restaurants: โ€œNever judge a restaurant by its location and entrance.โ€ Insadong Sujebi is an excellent traditional Korean Specialty restaurant. Its speciality is Sujebi. Sujebi is a traditional Korean noodle soup where the noodles are thin, hand-torn pieces of dough added to a bubbling pot of broth. Buried down an out-of-the-way ally, Insadong Sujebi is a quant cozy Sujebi eatery. It looks a little run-down, but donโ€™t let that fool you. The place is clean, and the staff is warm, friendly, and welcoming. However, be careful; they have their own recipe for classical Korean Kimchi, which I absolutely love. In fact, I got full eating just the kimchi and side dishes. If you are a Korean Foody, this is a must-stop on your culinary trip through Korea
