A nice hotel located just near by the pistes. Itโ€™s not new and looking at some details has seen better times probably during the Olympics Games in 2018. We ordered an ice bucket and we have been asked to pay 5.000 KRW; considering that we booked two Executive Suites I think that itโ€™s simply ridiculous!! Instead, I want to express my sincere appreciation and gratitude to Mr Koh (Concierge) which has been extremely helpful and generous to help us ! Kudos to him!

I am quite disappointed with the front desk staff; they were very unfriendly, and I felt unwelcome during check-in. As a five-star hotel, I was expecting professional and helpful staff.

Hotel was comfy to be in. Just upset that my stay was booked through the agency, โ€œwinterfriendโ€. Arranged shuttle service pick up and drop off point was at holiday inn and not intercontinental. Winterfriend also made the wrong room booking, creating an unsatisfactory check in for us. The hotel could be better represented by a better agency that is not worth being called โ€œkorea no 1 ski tour agencyโ€. Maybe no 1.at making excuses like โ€œcant contact you on whatsappโ€ when emails were provided. โ€œSki instructor is out for lunch, lets change 2pm to 3pm start timeโ€, and within 30 mins โ€œski instructor has left the site and cant conduct the ski lesson anymoreโ€ after they recommend that we cancel class and did not allow us to reverse the cancellation. And thinking they did us a favour by counter offering a trip to pyeongchang winter fest when we paid for the full package. Meaning, we actually paid for both ski lessons and winter fest which were happening at the same time. when they do not want to discuss tough conversations further, they conveniently pile the blame on clients and sends โ€œthank you for understanding~^_^โ€.

The hotel is great. Entry is welcoming the concierge team was fantastic at welcoming us and providing little things like outlet adaptors. Check in was find. Our biggest complaint is we booked a package through the IHG website that include lunch and dinner but apparently that package is not offered at the hotel. The GM Bill Lee made it right with a couple vouchers for meals. Access the the ski slope we easy. Rooms we spacious as well. They felt a bit datedโ€ฆ. The tv had some strange block on usb devices. So you canโ€™t use a personal streaming device. Shower and bathrooms were a highlight of the room but apparently in early evening they can run out of hot water due to guest over use. Lake view in the winter is not worth it. Mountain View is better. The lounge and restaurant have really good food and drinks but the are a bit pricey. There is no difference in location or access to ski resort between the IC and Holiday in on the same resort. So consider that if you are looking for maybe a cheaper option.

This hotel is way overrated. It is old, tired & had seen better days. We were given a room for 3 adults, aside from the main bed, a single/trundle bed has been squeezed in. Not only was it a disgusting bed, but, as you can see, that the headboard has seen better days (I will not even allow my guests to sleep on it, more so on paying guests). Customer Service at the front desk/housekeeping were slow - had to call 3 times for a spare pillow to be delivered to the room - waited half hour! Talk about the bathroom - there were mold on the tiles & the shower floor & the towels? Meh! Sorry, I'll flick this hotel away - 5*? More like at the most 3*.
