  This is a great museum all around--the architecture of the building itself, the organization and maintenance, and the choice of artworks placed side by side, especially in the international arts wing. I was allowed to take pictures in the Korean wing of the museum, but was chided for attempting to take a photo in the international wing. I guess if they don't want photos for whatever reason, they should put some signs or enlarge the fine print on the back of the ticket. Finally, if a docent tour is coming through the gallery you're in, they tend to dominate the area. It's disruptive but also makes walking around or enjoying the peace and quiet hard.

  They are 3 architectural places that are cool from this museum, the rest is just totally boring. The entrance fee is 10k Won. There are 2 expositions, one is about Korean art history and the other one about abstract. The first one is just old pottery and old drawings. Not much to see, nothing really astonishing nor creative. The second one is abstract art which is an elegant word for laziness art. Many unknown foreign artists there, probably because they are too bad to be featured anywhere else. Please go to the D museum, much more alive, it's 15min away

  It's a must to visit place if you are like me not too keen in shopping and tourist sites! The exhibition is curated well and you can rent a handset with good instructions on each art piece. Free locker and plenty places to sit and rest!

  Giving it a 3 stars because I got shouted at for taking a picture of a window looking outward. It's extremely strict and someone is always watching over your every move. It was overall very quiet. I did like how the place was organized. Second floor is for ancient art with things like vases. The first floor is all modern art. I personally enjoyed the modern art the most. Guess it depends on what you are into.

  This museum has two towers. The first tower displays ancient Korean relics like vases, old paintings and Buddha statues. The second tower, is alright. It houses modern, contemporary, pop artworks and paintings. Not a lot though. Please take note, you cannot take any pictures. I didn’t see any sign saying “no picture allowed” but has been stopped several times by the staff of the museum. The main highlight of this museum is the rotunda (located at tower one). It is designed by an Italian - Swiss architect. The second highlight is the exterior garden. It houses art piece by Anil Kapoor titled big tree and the eye. If you just want to see the exterior garden , you don’t have to pay. Just go and take some pic.
