::I think here is one of the surprising place in seoul for sure :) The owner is a great guy, too.

::This is my second review of Magnum, however a few things have changed since I was last there. First off, the bar is great, and deserves to be one of the top lounge style bars in Korea. The drinks are a little pricey (but not super bad), however, the service, quality, and excellence of the staff is well worth it. The owners are very "OCD" about the quality that is being delivered. The food is all handmade, with mostly appetizer and hors d' oeuvre style foods. However they have many other options, I had the Carpaccio, and a Calzone. Along with that, they let me have Porchetta on-the-house with mashed potatoes and gravy. Everything was great and the food is beyond expectations, I look forward to going to magnum every time I go up to Seoul. This is a must try, and arguably a rising competitor in the "lounge-style" Upper-End Bar/restaurant in Seoul. I honestly would never EVER write a review, this being the extremely rare circumstance. Keep in mind that the bar is relatively new for Magnum after converting from a liquor shop. Staff Attitude/Friendliness 10/10; Food 9.5/10; Drinks 9/10; Cleanliness 11/10. Definitely will be back, again, and again.

::This place has a unique concept where you are given a card and you use that card as an open tab. You can pour your own wine and control just how much you want to spend. But just a warning, there are not many choices to choose from (10 maybe), and they are EXPENSIVE. I'm talking about 4,000 won for 20ml which barely coats my tongue. And that price is during happy hour. So, just expect to spend a pretty penny if you plan to go there to drink full glasses of wine. Aside from that, the wine was good. My friend and I purchased a Brie Cheese plate which was 10,000 won and came with 8 crackers (we asked the waiter for more crackers). So yes, being located in central Gangnam, expect to pay Gangnam prices.
