  Clean and relatively friendly. When a dental hygienist does scaling, it can be unpleasant because it is somewhat disciplinary. There is a tendency to use kindness as a weapon to induce expensive treatment. The dentist does not directly provide an estimate. The estimate is completed by the coordinator.
