::From the moment I arrived at the Ramada in Gwangju, things felt off. The first thing you see at reception is a sign listing the price for extra toiletries, which set an odd tone. While the staff tried to be helpful, the language barrier made communication a challenge. The hotel's design suggests it once had more charm, but it’s clear it needs better upkeep. My first room was small and smelled strongly of chemicals, and the air conditioning didn’t work. After a failed repair, I was moved to a bigger room, which had more space but old, worn-out furniture. Unfortunately, the chemical smell followed me, and the room wasn’t properly cleaned — I found hair and dirt beneath the mattress and dust all over. After just one night, I started having respiratory issues, as did my colleagues who were also staying here. The breakfast wasn’t much better — cold omelette and very few options for a Western meal, which was disappointing compared to similar hotels. The only plus here is the central location, but that’s not enough for me to recommend staying. Next time, I’d opt for a different hotel, even if it’s a bit farther out.

::Nice cosy room, I booked for a round bed room for 3 days and a standard twin for 6 days, on third day during check out, the staff here were so kind to let me continue staying for the rest of my stay with the same room, room are spacious, quiet and very comfortable, had a great sleep almost every night, room only provide basic amenities like hair dryer, glass shampoo and shower gel, no tooth brush comb etc, but my room does have 2 bottle of room temperature water and 2 chilled water. There is a huge LED tv for

::I really hate leaving average or bad reviews for places but this place annoyed me. First, the staff were fine and polite and professional. 4/5. The room size was good. However so many little details were just...overlooked. I don't think the rooms are cleaned thoroughly and bed sheet had a rip in them. The cover fell off quickly and the air con quality was weak and the room was not as comfortable as it could be (room temp wouldnt go below 20.5 degrees (most 4 star hotels do). The hallways had a strong sweet smell that I think was used to drown out something else because I cant understand why else that would be used. I often travel to gwangju and wanted to try this place but will not be returning.

::Well-maintained business hotel. Staff are very helpful. The location is good with nearby shops and restaurants.

::I really enjoyed staying here. The rooms are fairly recently remodeled and the lobby is also new. The breakfast buffet on the 17th floor is also extensive. The room was nice and the value per night was really worth it.
