  This is Samcheok Training Center for Seongbuk-gu residents. The facility is so nice now that the renovation is complete! It's a shame that the beach right next door has been under construction for several years.

  On Maengbang Beach. Entrance to Hanjae Beach Why the stupid Seongbuk-gu training center here? Is it for Seongbuk-gu residents or Samcheok residents? Is it just for certain people?

  This is a recreational facility operated by Seongbuk-gu, located near Sangmaengbang Beach in Samcheok City. In addition to 29 bungalows, 51 tents, and 3 camping decks, it is equipped with showers, changing rooms, water fountains, restrooms, laundry tables, and parking lots. The operating period is from July to August every year, and applications for use are accepted through the local community center and district office website in June. Surrounded by a dense pine forest, it's cool even in the summer, and there's a beach a 3-minute walk away, so it's great for playing with children. Although it is not a very good accommodation, it is so popular that it is difficult to get an accommodation from the end of July to the beginning of August, thanks to the extremely low cost (KRW 6,000 for 3 days and 2 nights). In the case of bungalows, there are no separate electric outlets other than the installed lights, so it is inconvenient to have to charge your mobile phone in the management building. * There are plans for new construction from 2018.9 to 2019.11, so facilities and usage fees may vary thereafter.
