  I used Stayes to find an apartment in Gangnam in 2017. Basically, they are a budongsan (real estate agent) with a fancy website. I ended up renting the first apartment they showed me in person because it was in a great location and exactly what I was looking for. I was happy to pay the $300 commission, expecting that they would be able to continue serving as a liaison between me and the property company. Unfortunately when I contacted them a few months later needing help getting my aircon and television fixed, they provided no assistance. Also I found out later that the previous tenant paid significantly less than me. When I brought this to their attention they just told me it wasn't their problem. Don't expect them to negotiate on your behalf, even though many other budongsans will do this. So yeah, not recommended. 👎
