  Authentic vegan Buddhist temple food experience. You need to appreciate subtlety and admire presentation, but the food is also quite delicious. We had the small (45,000 Won) meal for everyone. It was quite enough.

  Both the 30 000 and 45 000 options were incredible. It was definitely a delicious meal and absolutely worth it. I was surprised by how intense some of the flavours were. The mushrooms, kimchi, and raspberry marinade were all fantastic. I drank the kimchi water after because it was so crisp and refreshing. The bean curd jelly was super tasty, as was the herb salad. We also got the vinegary persimmon tea. A bit too much vinegar flavor for me and a tad sweeter would've been nicer imo. Worth it to try it one time

  It's probably a mistake to compare this restaurant with other 1-star establishments in the city, since Balwoo is unique in providing Temple Food; however, I was disappointed with the quality of the food, which rarely if ever wowed in terms of presentation or taste. The fried mushrooms were a highlight, but overall I felt that this restaurant did not offer value for money. Not bad, but certainly lacking in too many areas to consider a return visit.

  We reserved this place well in advance due to good reviews and was very excited to try temple food as we love vegetarian food. However it was not great and the best part was the starter. The main course was not tasty and the whole meal felt lacking of that dining experience, specially considering that the have an unique concept. Don’t think it’s a one Michelin star place.

  Very delicious. Foods are very comforting a person. Food really fulfills the body and soul.
