::I cannot say enough about how wonderful the staff of Houm Clinic is. Dr. Chung and Dr. Kim went out of their way to help me during my time in Korea, and the care I received was far better than anything in my home country. The doctors here truly care about their patients, and it's the best medical experience I've had.

::Houm is such a special place to me. I’ve received obgyn care at other hospitals in Seoul and didn’t feel heard or like my preferences were taken into consideration. Houm is not that way. What a mother wants matters here- if it’s healthy for mom and baby then the staff makes it happen. The staff remember you and are happy to see you- they really feel like family who love and care deeply. The medical care is up to date and you have a voice in your medical decisions. I wish more places like this existed around the world- it really makes birth a beautiful memory and experience.

::Where do I begin? When I found Houm, I knew this was the place where I wanted to give birth to my children. I cannot say enough about how amazing the entire experience was from prenatal care, to labor and deliver, to postpartum care. I was well taken care of by every staff member with each appointment. By the time that I was in labor, I felt that I had a family at Houm who cared about me and would do everything they could to make sure that my experience was safe, peaceful, and loving. As labor goes sometimes, it did not go as planned and I did need some intervention; everyone was there, at the ready to make sure that even a c-section would be a good experience-- and it was as good as it could be. They understood my disappointment and were there for me as I grieved the loss of my natural birth and shifted to a c-section. Dr. Chung is an excellent surgeon who I trusted not only with my first c-section but also with my second c-section. I was completely taken care of during the after-care-- the nurses were available during the day and at night. I cannot forget to mention that the in-house cooks are amazing! I actually couldn't wait until our second child to enjoy the home-cooked Korean food again-- it is so delicious and nutritious; I still think about the seaweed soup and get cravings for it. If you are looking for a natural birthing center that will not just work with you, but care for you, this is the place! If you are looking for a natural birthing center that can also meet your needs such as intervention during labor, this is the place. I cannot say enough about Houm. I am no longer in Korea, but if I ever return, Houm is a place that I would go visit just to see the team who took care of me with both of my pregnancies. I am forever thankful for Houm and their beautiful philosophy of child birth - "The Houm Way."

::I've experienced two pregnancy losses and two successful births with this amazing clinic and I wouldn't want to give birth anywhere else in the world! All the doctors, nurses, doulas, and everyone in between have been such a gift to our growing family. They are professional, kind, empathetic, and patient with questions and needs. As two foreigners living in Korea having heard not great things about birthing experiences in public hospitals, I will be forever grateful for a calm and caring environment to have our natural births. They continue caring for us as a family in follow up appointments as well. Thank you to everyone at Houm who made our birthing experiences such incredible gifts!

::From making the appointment to coming in, the entire experience was smooth. Everyone in the office is professional, friendly, and goes above and beyond to ensure you’re as comfortable as possible. My visit was non-pregnancy related, so I cannot speak on pre/postnatal care. What I can say is that I received some of the best care out of any other doctor’s office (or hospital as they say here) around the world. All of my concerns were addressed, Dr. Kim was thorough, and explained everything in great detail. Also, as many have previously mentioned, English is spoken at this facility. The appointment cost (with my employer’s provided insurance) combined with the medication I was prescribed was less than $100USD. Health care is so much more convenient here! Tip: The closet pharmacy (약국) is near the building. When you exit the entrance, make a right and cross the street at the closest crosswalk. You’ll see it on the left side of Mega Coffee right at the other side of the crossing. It’s called 서초당약국 I will definitely return.
