::I wouldnโt recommend Jenny House in CheongDam to non-celebrities. They lack professionalism, customer service and most importantly- skill. Donโt let the celebrity clientele fool you, because you wonโt receive the same service or attention to detail that celebrities receive. I took my husband to this salon after reading numerous articles and reviews, I was sold on its reputation- only to be disappointed. I asked for two things and they failed to deliver my 2 requests- a clean look and volume magic. Yunmi, the team leader, was the stylist assigned to my husband. She completely disregarded my requests and butchered my husbandโs hair and boasted that she did a great job. She didnโt show any signs of remorse or even offered a small apology. She showed me a picture of a celebrity hanged on a wall and stated that she would be going for the particular look which resembled Jay Park with a Two Block and slick back volumized hair. She stated that my husband would only have enough perm to slick back his hair when blow dryer. Well, she completely missed his perm and his hair looks like Obamaโs dogโs hair (Portuguese Waterdog) or Golden Doodle (Poodle mix). I get that this type of hairstyle is โinโ among Koreans but itโs not for us. She gave some poor excuse about how my husbandโs stick straight hair would have been flatter with volume magic. I believe itโs called โvolume magicโ for its volumizing effects. Itโs not like they had a communication error, I speak both Korean and English fluently. She also stated that my husbandโs sensitive scalp was damaged and needed therapy, we took her recommendation and my husbandโs sensitive skin broke out like crazy. My husband didnโt want to be rude and was saying that it was โokayโ but heโs complained about his hair everyday since. The only good part about the whole experience was an employee by the name of Jae-In, she was really nice and even gave an apology on behalf of her rude superior.
