::Let me say the following in regard to this particular JW Marriott Dongdaemun Square Seoul. I’ve been traveling mostly for my professional work, fortunately in places. My number one choice is the Marriott hotel wherever I go, if possible to find and stay. This hotel is not quite large as the other JW Marriott Hotels; however, it is unique in terms of its location, how neat & clean in the midst of the markets & many shops around the hotel. The hotel is well-designed for its layout. My assigned room is very clean & neat—I got it upgraded from the front desk staff whose name is Jenny (if recalled correctly). Employees seem like all professionals and friendly—Marriott’s way of training its employees; they’re courteous & professionals. The breakfast is pretty good at Tavolo24; it was allowed by Jenny (the front desk staff) for me to have the breakfast. The water pressure in the shower & the bathtub is good. The bathroom’s layout is pretty unique—very simpatico. There is the KAL bus 6702, Incheon International Airport to/from the hotel, in front of the hotel; however, I didn’t get to ride the bus because of the airport KAL Bus’ ticket lady gave me another bus ticket instead of KAL Bus 6702. Do not take KAL Bus 6002; also drop off on the same side road, but 2/3 blocks away from the hotel. If you’re looking for an excellent hotel in the middle of the capital city of Republic of Korea (ROK), this is the hotel. Highly recommended. But by the way, I just checked in yesterday evening. By the way, in the Executive Lounge, on the 10th floor, I met a gentleman whose name is Kevin, who is a manager and speaks English very well, and Kevin is professional and courteous, as well as the other staff—they all speak English & are professional and courteous. The staff who work in the Executive Lounge are very professional and well-mannered to explain tonight's menu because Valentine's Day is near. In terms of communicating with the staff of this hotel, the front desk is mostly speaking English very well. Of course, speaking Korean would be very nice. All the staff who work at JW Marriott Dongdaemun Square Seoul, South Korea, speak English pretty well. Highly recommended for those who are looking for a place to stay comfortably and safely. I had a facial treatment from Provence Spa by L'Occitane on the 8th floor. This is my very first time receiving the treatment, and a lady whose name was Ann, who is excellent and has great skills, has done the massaging on my neck, shoulder, and facial treatment. Ann really took care of my treatment for an hour and a half. It was great!

::I had an exceptional experience at JW Marriott, thanks to the outstanding service from [didn’t catch her name but she was working at the executive lounge on 2/15/2025 approximately 1600ish - short hair in white dress/uniform]. She was incredibly kind during the checkout process and even surprised me with a Valentine’s Day cake, which earned me major brownie points with my wife! Given past reviews, I didn’t expect much, but I was completely wrong—her warm and thoughtful service truly made my stay memorable. Kudos to her and the team for going above and beyond!

::Wonderful experience at JW Marriott Dongdaemun Sq. Since day, the customer service was fantastic, especially the service I received from Ruby Jung and Ellie at the Executive Lounge. They were amazing, always helpful and happy to answer any questions I had. Both ladies made a huge difference! The location of the hotel was great, right next to the subway. The area is filled with shops and restaurants. It was very safe to walk at any time of the day or night. The food was also amazing. The rooms were spacious, clean, and comfortable. The gym was big with many different machines and free weights. I just wish they were open earlier, but still a great area to workout. I will definitely be back! Thank you so much.

::Fantastic hotel, service could not be better. Location is amazing. Great breakfast buffet. Great executive lounge... Subway right below hotel, don't even have to go outside. Historical wall city gate, great for a hike to see some urban neighborhoods.

::The JW Marriott was beautiful. The rooms were spacious, and the amenities were fantastic. The hotel is located next to the old city wall and gate, which gives a great view of the city. The gate is only five minutes from the hotel. Across the street is a massive shopping area. It's more like a flea market with lots of segmented booths/shops. It's a tight fit, and the product is crammed in tight. It was overwhelming to me, and I didn't enjoy the shopping personally, but I could see the appeal. The shopping doesn't have anything to do with the hotel itself, but it's nice to be prepared for the surrounding area. The food market down the street was full of delicious food. The room was large. All the outlets were designed so that an adapter was not necessary. They were universal in design. The bathroom was beautiful, and I loved the waterfall shower. There is a shower and a tub that are separate.
