::I'm stationed at K16 and after Samsung Hospital refused to see one of my Soldiers, I called and asked if we could go to their ER. They immediately found out how long we would be waiting and saw us as soon as we came in. The international care department especially were very courteous and kind in giving me the information to know if it would be worth it to drive the hour here versus the two hours to Camp Humphreys.

::Can’t say thank you enough! Has to be 2008 that I was there in your care for almost 14 days, with a broken neck as a solider…. Your quality of work with my injury has allowed me to live a great life. Can’t say thank you enough!!!!! Kamsamida

::Not particularly foreign friendly. Some staff are nice and helpful. Ironically the international clinic was the least helpful. The staff there used her outside voice the whole time while speaking to me. The staff also managed to lose all the supplies they told me to buy for the patient without it ever being used. They did solve it by repurchasing everything for us. The babysitting ladies here definitely don't like foreigners and being stuck in the room with them while they bad mouth you for being a foreigner is quite annoying. It seems like there are a group of older women who acts as personal babysitters for older patients without guardians. I don't think they are actual hospital staff. Maybe a private room would be a better experience. 1 lady pushed our bed so she can have more space while complaining about us being there. I would recommend their Seoul location as a well run, well managed and polite hospital.

::As a foreigner, i would say this is a good hospital. My korean language is very limited so its hard to communicate (my biggest struggle) but they did all their best trying to help me. I had to go through several check ups both in the gastro and hepatology dept. First was in the gastro (i couldnt eat, had upper right andomen pain and had chest pain as well), the nurse speak only in korean while the resident doctor can speak a very little english. I was prescribed meds but i felt its wasnt working since i am not getting better. I did an endoscopy but the result was read by a consultant/professor. And i was surpised he didnt speak english at all. So i tried to understand him with my very little korean. Then few months later, i was rushed to the ER. This was in the midst of pandemic. I was refused to the nearby hospital due to my fever and i was told to go to St. marys (for the second time). The ER female nurse stationed in the room was a bit rude. She kept on reprimanding me for moving my body but i was shaking uncontrollably due to high fever. I kept on calling here in my broken Korean language but she keeps ignoring me (maybe bec i was a foreigner?) until the beeping in my bedside monitor became loud and soon some nurses and staffs came by to assesed me. Thankfully, the attending doctors speak english as i was able to explain what ive been going theough and hear their prognosis. I was then transferred to covid ward and i would say the nurses and staffs were all very nice inspite of language barrier. After few days, i was transferred to a ward with 5 other patients in it. My only issue is that it was a bit noisy bec its in front of the nurse station and one patient was so noisy. But i would give a high rating for all the rounding nurses. They were all great. Trying to explain to u everything they were doing even using papago app to communicate. And my attending doctors from hepatology dept were all very nice as well. They speak english so its comforting to know ur situation. I did a lot of blood tests, MRI, CT scan, ultrasound, even optha, and the staffs were all great. After i was discharged, i need to go back for follow-ups and again, the hepatology dept were exceptional. though i cant speak for other departments (ive witnessed some dramas 😂) Kudos to all the nurses and staffs who assisted me and to my attending doctors. I would never forget your dedication to your works.

::I was prescribed seven, yes seven, different medicines for an infected throat. Before taking any, I researched all. Only one has any relevance to any one of the symptoms I described to the physician. The icing on the cake was one of them being designed to repair my stomach. . . when the lining becomes damaged from consuming multiple medications.
