The most recommended guest house at korea, the staffs were friendly, a very clean and organized place, and the place is really close to mini markets (7-Eleven,etc) and the station.
First time using a guesthouse in Seoul and the experience was outstanding. Location 5 stars, room cleanliness and security 5 stars, guesthouse owners more than 5 stars. Thanks Mr. Shin and to your family and staff Jennifer. Our 6 day stay was awesome. Will definitely recommend to family and friends.
PROS: We had stayed about 5 guesthouse around South Korea. So what we like are:
-If you pay by cash, there will be 5% discount
-Lovely family members running the guesthouse
-Really close to Myeondong Station & Myeondong Street Market.
-Really close to convenience stores such as Ministop, 7-11, CU
-Clean room, have hot shower
-Many electrical socket in the room
-Have AC and Floor Heater inside the room
-few feet away from Muslim Halal Restaurant (Kampungku)
CONS: If comparing with other guesthouses in South Korea we had stayed:
- Towel to small, so make sure to bring your own towels. You need to bring to the lobby if you want to change a new towel.
- Lobby & Room are in separate building. So at the lobby there will be microwave & hot water, so really inconvenience to go to the lobby at night, if you are hungry or need some hot water for the children as you need to go out, and to enter the lobby. The lobby is locked at night, you need to ring a bell if you want to enter which is really awkward situation. As a Muslim travelers, we always choose the place with a microwave as we only eat Halal foods (we sometimes bring our own instant food), that is why we choose this place.
-At night, at the lobby there will be no table and chair for you unlike other guesthouse, where you can have your food (such as instant noodle). So after you use the microwave, you can enjoy your food outside or in your room (if you have any space)
-The room space is quiet small, but we use to the small space. Comparing with other guesthouse, in here the space is quiet reasonable and bigger comparing to other places.
-For the breakfast, they served really good fruits, boiled egg, breads, butter, fruit jams. Just a little reminded with MUSLIM traveler, they served ham (pork) during breakfast, just make sure you bring your own plate/fork/spoon.
